Dr. Kuldip Kaur A/P Prem Singh is a qualified medical doctor and hospital administrator with outstanding leadership qualities. She has a strong academic background in Masters of Hospital Administration and Masters of Public Health. She was the Director of Hospital Kajang from 2009 till May 2016. Then she promoted as Deputy Director of Hospital Kuala Lumpur from May 2016 till 9th September 2019. Beginning from 10th September 2019, Dr Kuldip holds the position as Director of Hospital Sungai Buloh, Selangor.
Dr. Kuldip is an achiever in many aspects notably: Kesatriaan Pemangku Negara, KMN (2016); Certificate of Excellent Service (2013, 2006 and 2000) and Evaluation of Course Efficiency Level 4 (2006).
Dr. Kuldip has received many awards for Innovation and Teamwork. She was awarded the 2nd place for the Implementation of Infection Control (2010); 2nd place for Quality Assurance (2010) and 3rd place in the Innovation Competition (2010) among several other awards. She has received many Non-Governmental awards for her ardent participation in social activities.
Dr Kuldip holds portfolios in aspects of Medicolegal Management, Management of Corpses and Hospital Mortality Studies, Safety Management and Standards Management with duties in Occupational Safety and Health; Implementation of MS ISO 9001:2005; Hospital Accreditation, Credentialing & Privileging Systems; and Clinical Practice Guidelines.
Dr. Kuldip has also been in charge of Surveillance Management in Epidemiological Monitoring and Surveillance in Disease Control and Prevention, Incident Reporting and Complaints Management. Additionally, she has been in charge of Continuous Improvement in several aspects of Quality Service, Quality Assurance, Clinical Service, Patient Medical Records, Health Activity Promotion and in particular Research and Development.
Dr. Kuldip has contributed to Social Services through conducting Free Clinics for Malaysian Association of Blind, Teaching and Rehabilitation Programmes, Accident and Prevention Committee and Leadership in National Association for Diabetes. She has also been the Malaysian Representative for the Japan-Singapore Programme, presented on the Thesis Findings: Patient Waiting Times at the Mawar Maternity and Facilitator for Diabetic Foot Care Training.
Dr. Kuldip has active roles in Social Activities including Manager for the Human Resource Management Information System; Secretary for the Medical Dental Advisory Committee; Secretary for the Medical Ethics Committee; Chairman of the Safety Council; Chairman of Pain Free Hospital Committee; Chairman of the Case Mix Committee and Chairman of the Occupational Safety and Health.
Dr. Kuldip has active roles in Quality System Standards including Assessor Course; Seminar on MS 1722 & OHSAS 18001; Assessor and Auditor Training Course; Workshop on Documentation of Policies & Procedures and Facilitator Workshop of Quality Assurance.
She has also chaired the Seminar on Medical Practice and Challenges at Pharma+Bio Asia; Evidence-based Policymaking in Health Sector and Analytical Approach of using Data. She has also conducted training course in Occupational Safety and Health, Houseman Orientation Programs for Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Hospital Kajang and now in Hospital Sungai Buloh.
As the Hospital Director of a primary and admitting hospital for COVID-19, Dr Kuldip has performed a total tansformation to the administration and operation to suit the requirements of a COVID-19 Hospital. Her many tasks included ensuring hospital faiclities, manpower and resources needed were managed in optimal state, from revamp of wards to accept COVID-19 patients, procurement of medical and non medical supplies and sufficient training and awareness of staffs.
